What is Rotolining?
Rotolining bonds metals chemically modified polyethylene and other materials with metals to chemical storage tanks, line metal vessels, carbon steel pipes and fittings. The process is fairly unique and comes with impactful benefits particularly in material performance. The process enables seamless application of the polymer lining to the internal surface of metal structures. High-performance thermoplastics are used in Rotolining to create this bond. The technique is only predicted to grow in need exponentially, becoming an industry-expected standard.
The process
A granular resin is used for internal coating within the structure, covering all openings. Simultaneously, the structure is rotated on two axes to be heated uniformly. Thus, the melted resin spreads across the entirety of the inner surface as it binds to the metal substrate. After cooling down, a chemical-resistant lining and monolithic corrosion are formed that is compatible with various shapes and free of any stresses.
